Daysailing Adventure - Cape Breton Sailing Charters

Join the captain and a group of up to 6 guests for a day-long sailing experience on the world famous Bras d'Or Lakes. Seek out a quiet cove to anchor for a swim, and lunch. You can be as involved as you want in operating the boat, or just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Captain Greg is always happy to show novices the ropes, and experienced sailors will enjoy handling her 'wishbone catboat' rig and easy helm.

Isle Madame Lights: A Guided Driving & Walking Tour of Historic Lighthouses

Nova Scotia is home to the largest number of lighthouses in Canada, but none are more historic or picturesque than those of Isle Madame. This guided driving and walking tour shines a light on our history and geography. Ramble along coastal trails to lighthouses past and present; hear stories of the lightkeepers, shipwrecks, and John Paul Jones’ visit to Arichat; learn a traditional seafaring song and craft; and enjoy a steaming bowl of authentic seafood chowder. "Agritainment at its best"! Discover the agricultural history of Isle Madame and experience the old world charm of a traditional sheep farm. Take part in the daily activities of a working sheep farm; gather the sheep for shearing, collect eggs, feed ducks, milk the cow, or watch the new lambs gambol over the hills.Farm tours can be tailored to your interest and time to include wool processing - from carding to crafting; picnic lunches, and a self-guided walking tour on the farm.
